Openness to input and feedback

Sometimes self-acceptance is at the root of difficulties regulating emotions enough to hear feedback. Effective self-improvement requires connectedness to one’s emotions and physical responses. That connectedness can sometimes be hampered by low self-acceptance.

Stress Tolerance and Management

Sometimes the desire to be helpful becomes imbalanced with our ability to take care of ourselves. This can lead to stress and overwhelm. It’s hard to be our best selves when we are consistently operating under high stress situations.
